Kobi Na Muthiya (Cabbage Dumplings) || Toral's Pakhshala | India Food Network

Muthiya, a gujarati dish that tastes best with chutney and tea. It is made up of Chickpea flour, Methi (Fenugreek), Salt, Turmeric, Chili powder, and an optional bonding agent/sweetener such as sugar and oil. It is a very good staple of Gujaratis.


Ingredients:
1 cup Gram Flour
½ cup Wheat Flour
½ tsp. Red Chili Powder
½ Turmeric
1 tsp. Sugar
½ tsp. Ghee
1 tsp. Sesame Seeds
5-7 tbsp. Oil
1 ½ litre Water
½ tsp. Mustard Seeds
Salt to taste
1 cup Shredded Cabbage

Method:

1. Mix the gram flour, wheat flour, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, sugar, oil, shredded cabbage and water in a large bowl to make a dough.

2. Shape the dough into cylindrical rolls.

3. Pour water into a steamer and put the rolls in it. Cook for 15-20 minutes at a medium flame.

4. Turn off the flame and let the rolls cool down.

5. Now chop the rolls into slices.

6. Next, pour some oil and mustard seeds into a pan, and heat it until it crackles.

7. Then add the slices into the pan and shallow fry until golden brown.

8. Garnish with sesame seeds.
