King Oyster Mushroom with Garlic

[Cooking with Maisie] Trending on TikTok was the easy yet very satisfying King Oyster Mushroom with Garlic! The hardest thing is probably finding relatively large King Oyster Mushrooms. While it is tedious to grid-slice all the mushrooms, the result is worth it! Try this at home and serve it like its cooked at a restaurant.

Ingredients:
- King Oyster Mushroom, 3
- Spring onion, 1 stalk sliced
- Chilli padi, 4 sliced
- Garlic, 8 cloves minced
- Oyster Sauce, 1 tbsp
- Soy sauce, 1 tbsp
- Sugar, 2 tsp
- Chicken stock, 50ml
- Water, 30ml
- Oil, 4 tbsp

Instructions:
Step 1: Cut mushroom into 1 inch and slice into grids on both sides.
Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp of oil on medium heat and add minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, chicken stock & sugar.
Step 3: Add chilli padi and mix well for 10 seconds. Set aside for last step.
Step 4: Heat 2 tbsp of oil on low heat and add king oyster mushrooms till bottom is brown. Flip to pan-fry the other side till brown.
Step 5: Cover mushrooms with mixture (from Step 3) and add water before covering to steam for 2 minutes.
Step 6: Serve and garnish with spring onions.
