In this video I share 3 kid-friendly activities using my junk mail envelopes, stickers and postage stamps (both new and cancelled stamps) to teach lessons about correspondence, how mail works, and pen pals. By recycling my junk mail, my girls get to:1) doodle and sticker using new materials2) learn where their name, their friend's name and the stamp goes3) practice pretend play while discussing who they're writing to and what they plan to say in their letterIn my other two activities, we learn about how real stamps cost money and pay our mail lady to deliver our letter, and investigate the many beautiful and diverse subjects depicted on US postage stamps. By collecting cancelled stamps, we also are working towards an exciting family craft that takes persistence and patience while we collect as many stamps as we can.For more info on the new summer Scratch and Sniff stamps coming out from the USPS: https://about.usps.com/news/national-releases/2018/pr18_040.htmSubscribe to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/LittleKosherLunch For more info, visit:Blog: www.littlekosherlunch.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/little_kosher_lunch/?hl=enFacebook: www.facebook.com/littlekosherlunch
