Khichdi Recipe | Khichuṛī Recipe | Moong Dal Khichdi | Scroll Recipe
Ingredient:
• 3 TBSP ghee
• ¼ cup cashew /kaju
• 1 inch cinnamon, 5-6 black pepper, 3-4 green cardamom ,1 black cardamom, 1 star anise
• 1 TSP ginger paste
• 1 TSP cumin seeds
• 1-2 bay leaves
• 3 cup fried boiled moong dal (20% boiled)
• 1 TSP turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• 2 TSP cumin powder
• 1 TBSP ghee
• 1 TBSP sugar
• 1 TBSP red chilli powder
• 8 cup hot water
• chopped chilli
• ¼ cup kismis/raisin
• 1 TSP garam masala
Process:
• Heat the pan and add 3 TBSP ghee
• Add ¼ cup cashew /kaju
• Fry it
• Keep it aside
• Add cinnamon, black pepper, green cardamom, black cardamom, star anise in same pan
• Add 1 TSP ginger paste
• Add 1 TSP cumin seeds
• Add bay leaves
• Add 3 cup of soaked rice (small)
• Fry it
• Add 3 cup fried boiled moong dal (20% boiled)
• Add 1 TSP turmeric powder
• Add salt to taste
• Add 2 TSP cumin powder
• Mix it nicely
• Add 1 TBSP ghee
• Add 1 TBSP sugar
• Keep stirring 8-10 mints
• Add 1 TBSP red chilli powder
• Add 8 cup hot water
• Add chopped chilli
• Cover with a lid
• Cook till all the water is evaporated and the rice and lentils are completely cooked.
• Add ¼ cup kismis/ raisin
• Add fried cup cashew
• Mix it nicely
• Add 1 TSP garam masala
