Tawa Fry Fish (Kasoori Style)

Ingredients for Soaked Fish:
Water 3-4 cups
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Fish (rohu) 1 kg

Ingredients for Fish Masala:
Pomegranate seeds (crushed) 1/4 cup
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds (crushed) 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp

Ingredients for Fish Marination:
Soaked fish
Gram flour 1/4 cup
Tamarind water 1/4 cup
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Carom seeds 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Tawa Fish Fry:
Oil (for frying) as required
Marinated fish
Fried fish masala

Directions for Soaked Fish Preparation:
1. In a bowl add water, ginger garlic paste, salt, vinegar and mix it well. Add fish into it and soak for 15-20 mins.
Note: Wash the fish thoroughly after soaking and pat dry before marination
Directions for Fish Masala Preparation:
2. In a bowl add crushed pomegranate seeds, red chili flakes, crushed coriander seeds, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and mix it well. Set aside.
Directions for Fish Marination:
3. In a bowl add soaked fish, gram flour, Tamarind water, coriander powder, red chili powder,carom seeds, salt, cumin powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and mix it well. Rest the fish for 4-5 hours in refrigerator.
Directions for Tawa Fish Fry Preparation:
4. In a pan heat oil and place marinated fish. Fry each side for 2-3 mins. Set the fish aside.
5. Now take the fish masala in a sieve over the frying pan and pour frying oil over it.
6. Now sprinkle this masala over fried fish and serve. Your Tawa Fish Fry is ready.
