How to make Bombay Halwa - Karachi Halwa
We will use 400 grams (2 cups) of water for making this halwa. Take little amount of water and dissolve corn flour into it. Make sure all lumps get dissolved. Now add 1 ¼ cup water into it. Take sugar in a pan and add ¾ cup water into it. Cook until sugar melts and syrup gets ready.

Add corn flour batter in syrup now. Bring the flame to minimum and cook by stirring constantly. Within 10-12 minutes batter will get thick in consistency. Keep stirring it constantly and cook on low flame. Steadily halwa will start appearing transparent. Now add half amount of ghee and keep cooking. Add rest of the ghee with help of spoons at regular intervals and cook until all ghee gets absorbed.

When Bombay Karachi halwa appears shiny; add color into it and cook nicely. Add cashews and cardamom powder as well. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until it gets thick consistency.
