Kari Pakora Recipe by SooperChef

Ingredients for Pakora Preparation:
Potatoes 1 ½ cup
Onion (sliced) 1 cup
Gram flour 1 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp / to taste
Coriander seeds (crushed) 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
Water as required

Ingredients for Yogurt Mixture:
Yogurt 1/2 kg
Gram flour 1 cup
Water 1 L

Ingredients for Kari Pakora:
Oil 1/4 cup
Onion (sliced) 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Yogurt mixture
Water 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Pakoda
Tarka
Green coriander as required
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Oil (for tarka) 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds (for tarka) 1 tbsp
Red chilies (for tarka) 4-5
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Curry leaves (for tarka) 1 tsp

Ingredients for Zeera Rice:
Rice (boiled) 2 cups
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp to taste
Cloves 4-5

Directions for Pakora Preparation:
1. In a bowl add potatoes, onion, gram flour, salt, crushed coriander, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, water and mix well. The consistency of batter should be thick.
2. Now take the spoon full of batter one by one and deep fry until light golden brown and fully cooked. Take off flame and set aside.
Directions for Yogurt Mixture Preparation:
3. In a bowl add yogurt, gram flour, water and mix well. Your Yogurt Mixture is ready.
Directions for Kari Pakora Preparation:
4. In a pot heat oil and add onion. Cook until translucent. Now add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
5. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder and cook for a minute.
6. Now add yogurt mixture, water and cover and cook for 30-35 minutes or until thick in consistency on medium low flame.
7. For Tarka Preparation, in another pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, red chilies, red chili powder, curry leaves and cook for a minute.
8. Pour the prepared tarka over kari and add prepared pakora. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
9. Your Kari Pakora is ready.
Directions for Zeera Rice Preparation:
10. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds, cloves, salt and cook for a minute.
11. Add boiled rice and toss well for 1-2 minutes on high flame.
12. Your Zeera Rice are ready to serve with Kari Pakoda. Serve Hot and enjoy.
