Kadhi Pakodi

Ingredients:

(Serves 4 -6)

For Pakodas:

Gram Flour (Besan) - 1 1/4 Cups
Water - About 3/4 Cup
Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
Lukewarm Water (for soaking) - Approx. 3 cups
Sufficient Olive oil (for deep frying)


For Kadhi (Batter):

Sour Yogurt (Khatta dahi) - 3 Cups
Gram Flour (Besan) - 4 Tablespoons
Water - 4 Cups
Turmeric Powder - 1 1/2 Teaspoons
Red Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoons

For Tempering:

Olive Oil - 3 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds (dana methi)- 1/2 Teaspoon
Asafoetida (hing)- 2 Teaspoons
Whole Red Chillies - 4-5 Qty.
Salt (To taste) - 3 Teaspoons

For Garnish:

Clarified Butter (Ghee) - 2 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoons (to taste)
