JAPANESE STYLE FRIED CHICKEN

Ingredients

300 grams chicken leg boneless, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 tsps ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp blended sesame oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
¾ cup potato starch
¾ cup refined flour
2 eggs
Oil for deep frying
Lemon wedges to serve
Fresh parsley sprigs for garnish
Mustard mayonnaise to serve

Method

1. Take chicken in a bowl. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, light soy sauce, blended sesame oil, salt, black pepper powder and mix.
2. Take potato starch in a bowl. Add salt and mix.
3. Take refined flour in a plate, add salt, black pepper powder and mix well.
4. Break eggs in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper powder and whisk well.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
6. Roll the chicken pieces in refined flour mixture, dip in egg mixture and finally roll in potato starch mixture.
7. Slide the coated chicken pieces in oil and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp.
8. Drain on absorbent paper.
9. Garnish with parsley sprigs and serve hot with lemon wedges and mustard mayonnaise.
