Just because it's winter doesn't mean you can't have fresh food from the garden. Greens such as lettuce, arugula and mustard, along with cold-weather crops including kale and Swiss chard can be grown in a cloche or cold frame. But I love to sprout Fenugreek, Coriander, Garlic, Onion and more.
Every year, I try something new to plant in my garden and this year, I planted some green peas.

Garlic sprouting is the process of planting garlic cloves to produce sprouts, popular in cooking or using raw on salads, stir-frys and more. You can grow garlic sprouts by placing garlic cloves in a small amount of water in a clear cup or by placing cloves in soil and growing them as you would garlic bulbs.
Unsprouted or sprouted cloves of garlic can be grown. The same way spring onion sprouting is done.

Garlic performs best if the planting stock is exposed to temperatures between 43 and 50 F for about two weeks before planting. Stock that has not experienced enough cold before planting will produce bulbs with more but smaller cloves and with an increased tendency to double cloves (two cloves joined together). #bhavnaskitchen
