Raita is a quick side dish made with curd, veggies, Indian spices & herbs. It is usually eaten with Pulao or Biryani or Rice.

Cucumber Raita is one of the most popular dishes in Indian cuisine, and it is so easy to make, so healthy, so delicious and so quick. To make cucumber Raita you start with some plain yogurt, peeled OR grated cucumber and some chopped mint.


There are lot of variety of Raita's like - Cucumber Raita , Boondi Raita , Mango Raita, Fruit Raita.
My Favorite is Boondi Raita.


Ingredients :
- Curd (Dahi Or yogurt)
- Cucumber (Kheera Kakdi)
- Mint leaves (Fudina)
- Salt as per taste
- Roasted Cumin powder (Bhuna Jeera powder)
- Coriander leaves (Kothmir)
- Sugar to taste (Optional)

Preparation / Method
- Rinse Cucumber , peel and finely chop it. Or you can grate cucumber.
- Stir the curd till smooth
- Add grated cucumber
- Add salt to taste
- Add roasted cumin powder
- Add crushed sugar (Optional if using Sugar)
- Add Coriander leaves
- Add Mint leaves
- Mix well and serve into bowl
- Decorate with Mint leaves and Cumin powder
