For more tasty recipes, pleaseSubscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/eateastI...Our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/EatEastIndianFollow us on twitter: https://twitter.com/EatEastIndianPinterest: http://pinterest.com/eateastindian/Instagram: https://instagram.com/eateastindian/Ingredients and Method1 cup basmati rice2-3 tbsp oil1 tsp cumin seeds1/2 small chopped onion1 cinnamon stick1 bay leaf1 black cardamom4-5 green cardamom4-5 black peppercorn4 cloves1 cup peas1/2 tsp salt and turmeric ( optional)Method:- Heat oil and let cumin seed sizzle for 30 secs.- Add black cardamom, green cardamom and other spices. let them crackle for 1- 2 mins- Add onions and mix well. add salt and turmeric.- Add rice, peas and water. Cover the pot and cook for 10-12 mins untill water has evaporated and rice done. Dont overcook otherwise they turn mush. - As soon as water dries up, turn the heat off and keep rice covered ( so that steam can further cook them. ) Fluff with fork and serve. Remove the spices as they are not meant to be eaten.
