Ingredients:

Black eyed Peas - 1/4 cup
Green moon Dal - 1/4 cup
Chana Dal - 1/4 cup
Soya Beans - 1/4 cup
Urad Dal - 1/4 cup
Green Chilies - 3-4 finely chopped
Onion - 2 chopped finely
Curry leaves - finely chopped 10-15
Salt - To taste
Oil - For deep frying

Preparation:

Soak all the grains in around 4 cups of water for 6-8 hours.
Drain the water completely and grind the soaked grains into a coarse paste along with green chilies. Do not add any water while grinding. Otherwise, the vadas will absorb lot of Oil. If you need to add water you can add but be very careful. The paste should be a bit coarse. It okay even if whole grains still remain.
Add the chopped onions and add them to the paste.
Now add the chopped curry leaves and salt and mix well.
Take a lemon sized mixture and flatten it on your palm. Make a hole in the middle to ensure it will cook evenly.
Heat oil in a kadai and once it is piping , deep fry the vadas in this oil.
Serve with tomato sauce or any chutney of your choice.
