How to make Malai Kofta | #MalaiKofta | | Sujan Fun Kitchen

Ingredients:


Butter
Ghee
Oil
Corn flower
Maida
Fresh cream as much as you like :P
Mashed potato
Grated paneer
Onions chopped into chunks
Tomato’s chopped into chunks
Green chilli finely chopped
Ginger and Garlic paste / as a whole
Jeera
Turmeric powder
Red chilli powder
Coriander powder
Jeera Powder
Bay leaf
Cloves
Cinnamon
Cardamom
Garam masala
Salt
Kasturi methi

Steps:

For the kofta balls:
Take a bowl and mix the mashed potato, grated paneer, jeera powder and green chillies
Add a bit of corn flour and maida to bring to a dough consistency
Roll the mixture into lemon sized balls
Deep fry them until they are golden on medium flame and keep them aside

For the gravy:
Heat butter in a pan/wok, add the onions and sauté until translucent
Add ginger garlic paste and cook until onions turn slightly golden
Add the chopped tomatoes, salt to taste close the pan and cook until turns mushy
Completely cool down and grind into a smooth paste
Heat the pan/wok and add some ghee
Add bay leaf, cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon sticks, turmeric powder, chilli powder, jeera powder, coriander powder and sauté until you can smell the spices
Add the onion tomato paste and sauté until oil separates
Add some more salt if required, Kasturi methi, garam masala and fresh cream to be added
Mix well and this is now ready for serving

Serving:
Arrange the kofta balls one beside the other in a shallow dish
Pour the gravy on top of this
Garnish with some fresh cream and this yummy, delicious is ready to be served. You can have the same with some rotis, naans, phulkas or even basmati rice.
