Consume this Golden Milk dailiy for a healthy life. Golden Milk is a superfood and is invaluable as its rightly personified to gold! The bright colour is derived from Turmeric which is a spice used in India for centuries. The innumerable benefits of the Golden Milk have resulted in the Western world too consuming it. The recipe of Golden Milk is an ancient one and it’s a proud moment for me to share the recipe here.
Golden Milk has 5 major benefits as I understand. #haldidoodh
1. Anti-inflammatory thus helping to improve different kinds of joint pains
2. It helps to improve metabolism resulting in weight loss
3. Heart health improves as it positively influences cholesterol levels
4. Skin conditions improve greatly thus playing a role in curing skin diseases
5. Immunity boosted due to the combination milk with turmeric – milk contains Vitamin D and proteins
Golden Milk
Ingredients:
• Milk – 1 cup /200ml
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Crushed black pepper – ¼ tsp
• Ghee – ¼ tsp
• Palm Sugar/jaggery/sugar
Method:
• Start boiling milk in a pan
• Add the turmeric and mix simmering the flame
• Once everything comes to a boil, add the ghee and allow a quick boil
• Switch off flame
• Add the palm sugar or jaggery powder or sugar
• Now briskly transfer the Golden milk from the pan from a height to another container and back to pan – repeat this movement to a get a foamy Golden milk resembling a Latte
• If you wish to skip the Palm sugar/sugar then just do the transferring of milk in containers to get a frothy milk
• Enjoy the goodness of the Golden milk and take pride that you are part of an ancient recipe!
