Learn how to make your favourite chutney within minutes in the comfort of your home.DATE AND TAMARIND CHUTNEYIngredients100 grams seedless dates100 grams tamarind1 cup chopped jaggery2 tsps fennel seeds1 tsp cumin seeds½ tsp red chilli powderBlack salt to taste½ tsp dried ginger powderSamosa for servingMethod1. Chop the dates. Take tamarind in a bowl.2. Add sufficient water and soak for 25-30 minutes.3. Heat a deep nonstick pan. Transfer the soaked tamarind and soaked dates along with water. Add jaggery and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.4. Heat a nonstick pan. Dry roast fennel seeds and cumin seeds for a minute or till fragrant. Transfer in a mortar and coarsely crush with the help of a pestle.5. Remove the scum on top of the jaggery mixture.6. Add red chilli powder, black salt, dried ginger powder, 2 tsps of ground spice mix and mix well.7. Cook for 8-10 minutes more.
