Ingredients:-
1 cup chickpeas
2 onions chopped
1" ginger
3-4 cloves garlic
1 cup of black tea
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tomatoes
1 tsp tamarind pulp
Salt to taste
Ghee

Chana masala powder

Dry roast

2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 " cinnamon stick
3-4 cloves
1 tsp peppercorns
4 black cardamoms
6 green cardamoms
1 bay leaf
2-3 dried red chillies
½ tsp anardana
1½ cup plain flour
½ cup curd
½ cup milk
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder

Method:-
Chole:-
Pressure cook chickpeas until 4-5 whistles are blown.
In a pan add ghee, cumin, coriander seeds, chopped onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, tomatoes and water and let it all cook.
Then add tea, tamarind paste and let it cook. Now add the chick peas to the masala with the water and cook on high heat till water is reduced.

Bhature:-
In a bowl, mix plain flower, yoghurt, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk and knead a dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and keep overnight. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and deep fry the bhatures.

Garnish the Chole Masala with coriander, onion and lemon.

Chole Bhature are ready to serve!
