RECIPE DESCRIPTION:
Ingredients
Cake crumbs 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Cake of your choice - Vanilla, chocolate or red velvet)
Frosting/Nutella 2 Tablespoon (of your choice- chocolate or vanilla)
Melting chocolate 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Melted in microwave or double boiler)
FOR DECORATION
Sprinkles/Coconut 2 Tablespoon (Optional)

Things You Will Need
1. Baking tray
2. Wax paper, 1 sheet as per the size of the tray
3. Lolly pop sticks or wooden skewers cut into half the length
Directions
GETTING READY
1. In a plate put the cake crumbs or crumble a cake really finely in order to get 2 cups of cake crumbs.
2. Whisk the ready to use frosting to make it slightly loose and smooth.

MAKING
3. Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and gently mix using your hands. Once mixed, mold the mix into smooth round balls.
4. Using a microwave oven or a double boiler melt a small amount of the melting chocolate and stir it so that it is smooth, then dip one end of the lolly pop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into the prepared cake balls. (Insert only half way through, do not pass it through the entire cake ball).
5. Arrange the pierced cake balls with the sticks and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to ensure that the sticks are well in place.

FINALIZING
6. After 30 minutes remove the cake balls from the refrigerator and dip them one by one into the melted chocolate very carefully. Then dip into sprinkles immediately so that they stick on to the chocolate before it hardens.

SERVING
7. Serve the cake pops coated with melted chocolate and sprinkles of your choice.

TIPS
The amount of frosting you add depends on how dry or moist the crumbled cake you use is. Hence, add the frosting a tablespoon at a time checking for the moistness to prepare the balls. Make sure not to add too much frosting.
Always refrigerate the cake pops before dipping it into melted chocolate.

NOTE
Other variations can be used for coating the cake pops.
Melted marshmallows can be used instead of the melted chocolate.
Sweet coconut shavings can be used instead of the sprinkles to decorate the cake pops.
