HAPPY COOKING!!!Ingredients:-For Bisi Bele Bhat Powder:-7-8 bedgi red chillies1” cinnamon3 cloves10 black peppercorns1 tsp khus khus1 javitri / mace1 tsp cumin seeds1 green cardamom1 tsp urid dal1 tsp channa dal10 methi seeds1 ½ tbsp coriander seeds1 tbsp fresh coconutA pinch of hing For the Rice:-¾ cup rice½ cup toor dal8 shallotsTamarind to the size of a lemon1 tsp jaggerySalt to taste1 tsp ghee½ cup peas¼ cup French beans¼ cup capsicum½ cup carrots diced For Seasoning:-3 tsp gheeFew curry leavesPinch of asafetitda½ tsp mustard seeds Method:-1. Dry roast all the ingredients for the powder and cool. Then grind to a fine powder and keep aside. To this add the jaggery, salt and tamarind paste.2. Wash the rice and dal and pressure cook them till done3. Heat a tbsp of the ghee and sauté the vegetables till almost done4. Then add the spice powder paste that we have made and mix well5. Add the cooked rice, dal and mix well6. Add some water, salt and some tamarind paste and cover and cook on a low flame7. Heat the remaining ghee and add the asafetida.
