How to make ada pradhaman
Ingredients
-------------------
Ada - 400gm
Jaggery -600gm
Sago seeds(chowari)-50gm
Coconut milk from 2 coconut-1st milk-1cup
-2nd milk -2cup
Fresh milk-2cup
Coconut bits-1/4 cup
Cashewnut-20
Raisin-2tsp
Cardomom - 6-7
Cumin seed-1tsp
Dry ginger- a small piece
Ghee-4tbsp

Method
--------------
Keep ready all the ingredients before making the pradhaman
1)Melt the jaggery using 1/2 cup of water and strain it and keep aside
2)Extract the coconut milk
For 1st milk-add 1/4cup hot water in the grated coconut and extract the thick milk
For 2nd milk add approx.1cup water and extract 2cup of milk.
3)soak sago seeds for 10 min and cook it untill transparent and drain it and put that in a bowl of 1cup of 2nd coconut milk
4)Dry roast, cardomom, cumin seed and dry ginger and make a fine powder out of it and keep
5)cook the ada well in high flame (using plenty of water), till it becomes very soft.
*Ada must be cooked well as it wont cook after adding jaggery.
Drain the water and wash 2times with cold water to remove extra starch
6)Heat a heavy bottomed vessel and add the melted jaggery and 1tbsp ghee
*Here i have used only600gm of jaggery,you can add double the quatity of ada or according to your taste*
7)Let it start boil,now add the cooked ada and fry in medium flame till it becomes thick and well coated with ada
8)Add 1cup of coconut milk and cook untill it becomes thick
9)Its time to add the cooked sago seeds with coconut milk
10)when it turns thick addc2 cups of fresh milk
11)When it boils nicely and has reached the desired consistanancy, add 1st coconut milk mixed with the grounded masala
12)Mix properly and turn off the flame.*Do not boil after adding the 1st decoction of coconut milk
13)In a pan heat 2tbsp of ghee fry coconut bits, cashews and raisins till light golden and add it to the pradhaman and close the vessel with a lid for 10 min
14)After 10 min pradhaman is ready to be served
