100g of urad dal (split black gram) soaked in water
2 tbsp chopped coconut
Whole black pepper
Some curry leaves
Salt to taste
Hing (asafoetida) dissolved in water

The dish gets its name because of its origins on mysore, you can also call it the medu vada of mysore. These bondas are perfect for a tea time snack for a heavy breakfast.
