PREP TIME: 20 MINUTESCOOK TIME: 50 MINUTESSERVES: 8-12 INGREDIENTS2 cups herrings, coarsely pulsed.2 cups shrimp, coarsely pulsed. 2 medium onions, pured.1 cup ginger, coarsely chopped.5 cloves of garlic, pured.200g tomato paste1 cup chilli flakes1 tsp fennel seeds1 tsp tnise seeds3 bay leaves1 tsp ground rosemary1 litre vegetable oil 2 tbsp salt DIRECTION Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add fennel seeds, anise seeds, stir then add pure onion, garlic, stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes Add tomato paste, stir and let cook for 10 minutes then add ginger, stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add chilli flakes, stir and let simmer for 5 minutes. Add herrings, shrimp powder, stir , add more oil and let simmer for 10 minutes Add bay leaves, ground rosemary , stir and let simmer for another 5 minutes Add and adjust salt to your taste and let simmer for 3 minutes. Chunky shito ready to serve.
