How to make GARI Japanese Pickled Ginger for Sushi and More! Homemade Pickles Recipe

It's the season for fresh ginger only available at this time of the year, so I make big batches for the whole year.

It's easier to buy Gari at the supermarket, but I dont like preservatives and sugar substitutes. Enjoy the Homemade fresh Gari in your kitchen.

Marinade
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 ts salt
small piece of Kombu Kelp (optional)
300g (0.7 pound) flesh Ginger
