French fries turned into spiced tossed fries served with a delicious sweet and creamy mango dip. A simple recipe of how to make french fries at home.HOUSE FRIESIngredients4-5 medium non-starchy potatoesSalt to tasteOil for deep fryingMango-chilli dip½ cup mayonnaise3 tbsps ripe mango pulp 1 fresh red chilli, choppedSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to tasteSpice mix1 tsp onion powder1 tsp garlic powder¾ tsp paprika powder½ tsp dried mango powderSalt to tasteMethod1. To make the dip, take mayonnaise in a bowl. Add mango pulp, red chilli, salt, and crushed black peppercorns and mix well. Refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.2. To make the spice mix, combine together onion powder, garlic powder, paprika powder, dried mango powder and salt in another bowl.3. To make the fries, cut the potatoes into thick strips. 4. Bring sufficient water to a boil in a deep pan. Add salt and the potatoes and cook for 6-8 minutes or till ¾ done. Drain the potatoes and spread on to kitchen towel and pat dry the potato strips. 5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the potato strips and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. 6. Transfer in a bowl, sprinkle some of the spice mix and toss till well coated. Arrange in a serving bowl and serve with prepared dip.
