Ramzan Preparations

Ingredients for Ginger Garlic Paste:
Garlic cloves 1 cup
Ginger pods 1 cup
Oil 1 tbsp.

Ingredients for Green Chili Paste:
Green chilies 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Water 1/2 cup

Ingredients for Red Chili Paste:
Red whole button chilies 1 cup
Hot water (for soaking) as required
Garlic cloves 1/4 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Oil 1/4 cup

Ingredients for Lemon Juice:
Lemon 1 cup

Ingredients for Fried Onion:
Onion (sliced) 2 cups
Oil (for frying) as required

Directions for Ginger Garlic Paste Preparation:
1. In a glass jar add garlic, ginger and oil. Blend it well into smooth paste. Your Ginger garlic paste is ready.
Note: It can be refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Directions for Green Chili Paste Preparation:
2. In a glass jar add green chilies, salt, water and blend it well into smooth paste. Your Green Chili Paste is ready.
Note: It can be refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Directions for Red Chili Paste Preparation:
3. In a bowl add red whole button chilies and hot water. Soak them for 10-15 mins.
4. Add these soaked chilies to a glass jar and add garlic, salt, sugar, oil and blend it well into smooth paste. Your Red Chili Paste is ready.
Note: It can be refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Directions for Lemon Juice Preparation:
5. Squeeze lemons in a bowl. Filter them through sieve and add into an airtight bottle. Your lemon juice is ready.
Note: It can be refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Directions for Fried Onion Preparation:
6. Fry the onion over medium flame for 3-4 mins or until golden brown in color.
7. Transfer them to a plate covered with tissue. Let it absorb the excess oil.
8. Now transfer the fried onion to an airtight bag. Your Fried Onion is ready.
Note: It can be stored in an airtight bag at room temperature for up to 1 month.
