Delicious prawns pulao for all the prawn lovers out there.
HOME STYLE PRAWNS PULAO

Ingredients

300 grams prawns, shelled, deveined and cut into 2 lengthwise
1½ cups short grained rice, soaked and drained
2 tbsps oil
1 bay leaf
1 inch cinnamon stick
3-4 black peppercorns
2-3 cloves
2-3 green cardamoms
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1½ tbsps ginger-garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsps red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 large tomato, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves + garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves, cardamoms, and onion. Sauté till translucent.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste, sauté for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder, mix and cook for a minute.
3. Add tomatoes and salt, mix, cover and cook till the pulpy.
4. Add rice, and mix well. Add prawns and mix till well combined. Add coriander leaves and salt, mix well.
5. Add 3 cups warm water and mix well. Cover and cook till the rice is fully done.
6. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
