A simple recipe of Chicken curry made with simple ingredients available at home.HOME STYLE CHICKEN CURRY Ingredients750 grams chicken, cut into 1½ inch pieces on the bone1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 tablespoon coriander powder½ tablespoon cumin powder1 teaspoon garam masala powderSalt to taste¼ cup yogurt2-3 tablespoons oil1 inch cinnamon2-3 green cardamoms5-6 cloves 4 medium onions, sliced1 medium tomato, chopped 1 teaspoon chopped fresh coriander leaves Fresh coriander sprig for garnishingMethod1. Put chicken pieces in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Add salt and mix. Add yogurt, mix and refrigerate to marinate for 1 hour. 2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves and sauté till fragrant.3. Add half the onions, mix and sauté till light golden brown. 4. Add marinated chicken pieces and mix well on high heat. Add tomato, mix, cover and cook for 2 minutes or till the tomato turns soft and pulpy.5. To make kachumber, Add salt and coriander leaves to remaining onions and mix well. Refrigerate to chill. 6. Add 1½ cups water, stir, cover and pressure cook till the pressure is released 4 times. Open the lid when the pressure is released completely.7. Garnish with a coriander sprig and serve hot with kachumber.
