Hibiscus Iced Tea | Cooking Classy with Chef Afraz | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

This hibiscus flower infused iced tea is deliciously in vogue and also has a ton of health benefits.

HIBISCUS ICED TEA

Ingredients

16 hibiscus flowers + as required
Ice cubes as required
4 tea bags
Juice of ½ Italian lemon
1 Italian lemon, sliced
8 tablespoons sugar

Method

1. Heat 4 cups water in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil.
2. Take out the petals from the hibiscus flowers.
3. Add lemon juice and hibiscus petals to the pan and mix. Heat till the petals give out the colour.
4. Discard the petals, add sugar and mix till the sugar melts.
5. Dip tea bags for a minute and discard them. Strain in a bowl and refrigerate to chill.
6. Add some ice cubes into individual glasses. Add 1 lemon slice, few torn hibiscus petals, some more ice cubes, few torn hibiscus petals and pour the hibiscus tea.
7. Serve chilled garnished with lemon slices.
