Soft gulab jamuns and crunchy nuts stuffed in wonton sheets and fried till crisp - if you like more texture in your desserts this fusion avatar of the Gulab Jamun is a must try! GULAB JAMUN WONTONS Ingredients24-28 mini gulab jamuns, squeezed 16 wonton sheets¾ tablespoon chopped almonds¾ tablespoon chopped pistachios¾ tablespoon chopped cashewnuts 1 tablespoon refined flour (maida)Oil for deep-frying Icing sugar for dusting Chocolate sauce for drizzling Method1. Halve gulab jamuns and transfer in a bowl. Add almonds, pistachios and cashewnuts and mash lightly. 2. Put flour in a small bowl. Add little water and mix well to make a thick smooth mixture.3. Place a spoonful of gulab jamun mixture in the centre of wonton sheets and fold to make a crescent shape. Apply the flour mixture on the edges and press to seal. Apply some more flour mixture on the 2 ends, bring together and press to stick.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the prepared wontons till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.5. Place the wontons on a serving platter. Dust icing sugar on top, drizzle chocolate sauce and serve immediately.
