Gulab Jamun Mousse | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

This Indo-western fusion dessert results in somethig marvellous and amazing to taste as well as look! Chocolate mousse served on gulab jamuns.

GULAB JAMUN MOUSSE

Ingredients

12 small gulab jamuns
½ cup chopped milk chocolate
1 cup cream
½ cup chopped white chocolate
1½ cups whipped cream
Few fresh rose petals
1 tbsp candied rose petals (gulkand)
1 tsp rose water
A few pistachios, for garnishing

Method

1. Heat a non-stick pan, add milk chocolate and cream and stir till chocolate melts. Add white chocolate and stir till it melts and all the ingredients blend well. Take care that the mixture does not get too hot.
2. Pass the mixture through a sieve into a clean bowl and keep it in the refrigerator to cool.
3. Put a gulab jamun in each of 6 glass cups.
4. Place the whipped cream in a bowl. Add gulkand. Chop a few rose petals finely and add. Add rose water and the chocolate-cream mixture and mix everything well.
5. Put the mousse over the gulab jamun in each glass and pat the cups lightly so that mousse goes down right to the bottom.
6. Place a gulab jamun on top of the mousse in each glass. Place a few pistachios on one side and a whole rose petal on the other.
7. Chill in the refrigerator till well set and serve chilled.
