Green Peas Nimona is widely prepared in north Indian especially in Eastern UP & Bihar. This traditional UP Style Matar Ka Nimona is made using peas and just a few spices. Nimona is cooked during winter season. Whether you make Matar Nimona or Green Chana Nimona, both require the same. It is best served with rice but it goes very well with Indian breads also. Traditionally, it is cooked hot and spicy.

Ingredients

½ kg Peas
2 finely chopped onion(medium)
1 chopped tomato
1 inch ginger
8-10 garlic
2-3 green chilli
2 chopped potato(medium)
Fresh coriander leaves
1 spoon jeera powder
¼ spoon turmeric powder
1 spoon garam masala
1 tej patta(bay leaf)
1 spoon jeera
1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
1 ½ spoon salt
2 spoon coriander powder
4 spoon mustard oil
