4-5 (~1400 g) large onions
9 cups water for boiling
cup olive oil
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp coriander
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp salt
tbsp cumin

For making the pastry:
2 packets medium thick phyllo
1 cup grape seed oil
cup water
cup poppy seeds or black cumin seeds
