Pair it with rice or chapattis and enjoy!GONGURA CHICKENIngredients750 grams chicken, cut into 2 inch pieces on the bone½ medium bunch of sorrel (gongura), leaves separated3-4 tbsps oil2 large onions, slicedSalt to taste2 tbsps ginger-garlic paste4 dried red chillies, stemmed1 medium tomato, chopped1 tsp red chilli powder½ tsp cumin powder1 tsp coriander powder½ tsp garam masala powder¼ tsp turmeric powder2 green chillies, slit2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leavesSteamed rice to serveMethod1. Heat oil in earthenware pot. Add onions, salt and sauté till golden brown.2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.3. Add dried red chillies and mix. Add tomato and cook till it turns pulpy.4. Add chicken and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and mix well.5. Add sorrel leaves, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add ½ cup water and mix. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.6. Add green chillies, coriander leaves and mix well.7.
