Gajar ki Kanji Probiotic Drink Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Gajar Kanji is a traditional fermented probiotic drink that is especially good for digestion. It is loaded with fiber and all types of good-for-health ingredients, and it tastes awesome.

GAJAR KI KANJI

Ingredients

400 grams red carrots, peeled and cut into 3 inch pieces
cup mustard seeds
tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
Black salt to taste
tsp turmeric powder
tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsps prepared powder

Method

1. Put the mustard seeds in a grinder jar and grind to a coarse powder.
2. Take 2 litres water in a deep earthen pot. Add asafoetida, roasted cumin powder, black salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, 2 tbsps ground powder and carrot and mix well. Cover with a muslin cloth, place a lid over it and set aside for 2 days.
3. Pour into individual glasses and serve as required.
