Foxtail Millet Pancake Millets Recipe Chef Harpal Singh With Dhanashree

#FoxtailMilletPancake a healthier version of pancake prepared with foxtail millet, also known as "Kaang" or "Raal" in Marathi, and "Kaangni" in Hindi, is known to be a highly nutritious food grain.
Ingredients Quantity
Foxtail millet 1cup
Khapli wheat flour 2cup
Chopped onion 1no
Grated cucumber 1no
Chopped tomato 1no
Green chili chopped 2- 3
Chopped coriander 1tbsp
Sesame seed 1tsp
Carom seeds 1tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
Red chili powder 1tsp
Salt 1tsp
Water as required
Oil 1tbsp
Method
In a bowl add foxtail millet , water and wash the millet properly
In a cooking pan add millet and water and let it get boiled
In an another bowl add khapli wheat flour, now start chopping onion, grate cucumber , chopped tomato and green chilies
Once the millet is boiled set it aside to cool down
Till then add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies and cucumber to the flour mixture now add chopped coriander, sesame seeds, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder salt to taste and mix it well
Finally add the millet to the flour mixture add little bit of water and mix it well
See to it let the consistency of batter should be thick enough and rest the batter for 1 hr
In a pan add oil see to it that the pan should not be hot
Now add one spoon full of batter and make a hole in the middle, now on the gas and cook it for some time from both the side
Once it's cooked properly remove it in a serving plate and serve hot with curd or pickle
