Foraging Mushrooms UK - Bitter Bolete (Typolius Felleus)

Through this video, we're going to take a look at how we can all safely forage for & identify the Bitter Bolete mushroom.

These Wild Mushrooms can be foraged in plenty of different woodland locations and are often found growing in the mid season, around the time when we find porcini. It's definitely worth getting used to this one to ensure you don't accidentally pick it thinking it's a porcini.

This mushroom is the only bolete that breaks our If it's Red or Blue it may make you spew rule as it has no red on it and doesn't stain blue instantly. It isn't actually poisonous or toxic but is so incredibly bitter tasting that it will ruin any dish you accidentally cook it in to.
