Five Spice Stir Fry | Vegetarian Dishes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

FIVE-SPICE STIR-FRY

Ingredients

1 teaspoon five-spice powder
200 grams fried noodles
4 tablespoons oil
5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium carrot, sliced
8-10 broccoli florets
7-8 fresh button mushrooms, quartered
1 medium onion, sliced
8-10 French beans, diagonally sliced
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons crushed red chillies
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon cornflour
½ tablespoon honey

Method

1. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic and
sauté for half a minute. Add carrot, broccoli and mushrooms
and stir-fry for two to three minutes.
2. Add onion, French beans, salt, soy sauce, crushed red chillies
and five-spice powder and mix well.
3. Add orange juice and little water and mix well. Mix cornflour
with two tablespoons water to make slurry and add it to the
wok and cook till the sauce thickness. Add honey and mix
well.
4. Transfer the noodles onto a plate. Pour the sauce over it and
serve hot.
