Fish koliwada is simple mouth watering fry in which fish is marinated in a thick batter and fried.This finger-licking delight is popular in Maharashtra.FISH KOLIWADAIngredients2 rawas fish filletsOil for deep-frying Juice of ½ lemon ½ teaspoon turmeric powder2 teaspoons red chilli powder½ teaspoon chaat masala + for sprinkling1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste ½ teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)Salt to taste 2 tablespoons yogurt 4 tablespoons gram flour (besan)Green chutney for serving Onion rings for serving Method1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. 2. Cut fish fillets into 1 inch squares and transfer in a bowl. Add lemon juice, turmeric powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, ginger-garlic paste, carom seeds and salt and mix well.3. Add yogurt and mix. Add gram flour and mix well. 4. Put the marinated fish pieces in hot oil and deep-fry on high heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 5.
