Most often people think of one of two ways to eat kale: either tough chewy leaves in a kale salad or else mushy wilted leaves that have been steamed or sauted. Neither are texture favorites of people. Trust me, these kale chips are a whole new kale. This is in my opinion one of the best ways to cook kale. Its not tough and chewy nor is it mushy. Its really thin and crisp like a chip. A very very razor thin chip, but there is a bit of crunch. While the full crunch satisfaction box may not be checked for all, these check the salty box for sure. And youll feel better knowing you are putting something healthy into your body. They are a great healthy snack idea for work and in addition you can add this to your list of healthy after school snack ideas for kids. They're low carb, vegan and gluten free as well, so they'll work with just about any diet. The recipe for kale chips (or kale crisps as out friends in England would call them) couldnt be easier:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2. Using a knife or kitchen shears, cut the leaves off the tough center stems of one bunch of organic kale and cut into roughly large potato chip size pieces.
3. Put it all in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil, 1 teaspoon seasoned salt. Experiment with different flavors if you like, for example chili powder or garlic powder. Then you massage the oil and spices into the leaves. This is not mild tossing of the leaves, you actually are massaging them, so you should feel all sides of the leaves with your fingers to ensure the oil is getting onto all surfaces. This is critical to a crisp chip.
4. Line your oven tray(s) with a piece of parchment paper or silicon mat and lay out the pieces in a single layer.
5. Bake in the oven until the edges are just brown but not burnt which should be 10-15 minutes.

Thats it! Enjoy and heres to your health!
