Favorite Cooking Tools for Kids (from Kids Cook Real Food)

What tools are best for kids in the kitchen?

I'm asked this question a lot (along with the knives that we addressed a few weeks back), so I did a live-not-live video from my kitchen today to show off some of our favs!

Ultimately, most of these are what *I* use as an adult as well, because in most cases I don't think kids need special tools!

Most of these are found on our resources page, but some are new(er) finds and not even updated there yet! Here are all the tools used in our classes https://kidscookrealfood.com/resources/

Check the video for demos and reasons, but here are the tools in order to help you skim to the one(s) you're interested in if you'd like (aff links used):

crinkle cutter (https://amzn.to/1PMTSl2)
Y-shaped peeler (https://amzn.to/1PjPejx)
our special Kids Cook Real Food measuring cups & spoons (only available as part of a package right now but we are trying hard to make shipping affordable so we can sell them singly! https://kidscookrealfood.com/physical-products/ )
stainless steel measuring cups/spoons (https://amzn.to/2puObZB -- be sure to see the vid for WHY this set rocks more than any other I've seen!)
mini tongs (get them at a dollar store if you can!)
knives, knives and knives! Our favs in great detail here: https://kidscookrealfood.com/kid-knife-review/
lettuce knife (dollar store)
cutting boards (every kid should have their own -- here are the ones I shared on the video -- https://amzn.to/2NZrupE and https://amzn.to/2Ot2Pcg )
mini spiralizer (https://amzn.to/2hvJF5o)
silicone whisk (https://amzn.to/2XnUudS)
silicone cupcake supplies (https://amzn.to/2Qx1js3)
spatula (for cast iron only https://amzn.to/1RIzruJ)

I believe in super practical Christmas gifts if you're not going clutter-free this holiday season! Hope this helps you get those kids in the kitchen and motivated to help!
