Farali Chaat | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A quick and easy chatpata recipe to have during fasts. This one is a must try !

FARALI CHAAT

Ingredients

Farali chivda as required
500 grams purple yam, peeled, boiled and cut into cubes
1 tablespoon ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Rock salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder + for sprinkling
Green chutney as required
Sweet chutney as required
Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Method

1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté for 30 seconds. Add green chillies and sauté for 30 seconds.
2. Add yam, chopped coriander, rock salt and chilli powder, mix and cook for 5 minutes.
3. Put cooked mixture in a serving bowl. Squeeze out some green chutney, sweet chutney on top.
4. Sprinkle some chilli powder and put some farali chivda on top.
5. Serve immediately garnished with chopped coriander.
