I have explained the process of making Pongal / Khichdi. This is south Indian style pongal. This Pongal is more nutritious for kids. In Karnataka, it is called Huggi. This Pongal can be made in a very simple way also. I will be posting the same soon.

Ingredients:

1 cup Moong Dal,
1 cup Broken Rice,
1/2 cup Mutter / Peas,
1/2 cup Carrot,
1/2 cup Sweet Corn,
1 cup Grated Coconut

Dry Fruits:

Few Badam, Kaju (Cashew), Ackhrot,

Masala :

Haldi /Turmeric,
Jeera,
Black Pepper,
Salt to taste,
Grated Ginger,
Green Chillies,
Curry Leaves,
Ghee and Water, Dhaniya for Garnishing

Ideal for Kids lunch box.
