This simple delicious wrap is ideal when you are on a time crunch and craving a good wholesome meal.

EVERYDAY CHICKEN WRAP

Ingredients

450 grams boneless chicken, cut into thin strips
4 large whole wheat (atta) rotis
1 tablespoon oil
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
½ teaspoon cumin power (jeera)
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Dressing
1 cup hung yogurt
½ tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
1 teaspoon chopped green chilli
½ tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 small onion, finely chopped
Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
2. Put chicken strips in a bowl. Add lemon juice, garlic, cardamom powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.
3. Add the marinated chicken strips to hot oil and cook for 2-3 minutes or till done. Transfer in another bowl.
4. To prepare dressing, mix together hung yogurt, mint leaves, green chilli, parsley, onion and salt in a bowl.
5. Warm the rotis in the same non-stick pan and transfer on the worktop.
6. Spread some dressing in the center of each roti, put some chicken mixture on top and wrap.
7. Halve and serve immediately.
