A lovely eggless cake prepared with besan which is going to outrank any other favourite desserts instantly!

EGGLESS CHOCOLATE BESAN CAKE

Ingredients

1 cup gram flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 tbsp + ¼ cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
¾ cup butter, softened
1 cup condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ cup milk
½ tbsp vinegar
2 tbsps chopped walnuts + for sprinkling
Icing sugar to dust

Method

1. Preheat the oven at 180˚C.
2. Cream butter, condensed milk and vanilla essence together in a bowl till light and fluffy.
3. Mix 1 tbsp whole wheat flour with walnuts. Sift the remaining whole wheat flour in the butter mixture along with gram flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking and powder directly into the butter mixture. Pour the mix little by little and gently fold till a smooth batter is formed.
4. Add the walnut-whole wheat flour mixture and vinegar and gently mix.
5. Pour in the batter into greased loaf tin, gently tap a few times to release any air pockets. Sprinkle chopped walnuts.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.
7. Take the cake out of the oven and allow to cool slightly, demould and allow to cool to room temperature. Dust icing sugar on top.
8. Cut into slices and serve.
