Perfect Pakodas for a rainy evening to go with some chai, egg pakodas with eggs, onions and green chillies are deep-fried till crispy and fluffy.

EGG PAKODA

Ingredients

2 eggs
½ cup gram flour
1 green chilli, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
A pinch of chaat masala
Salt to taste
A pinch of baking soda
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
1 tsp red chilli powder
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Break the eggs in a bowl and add gram flour. Add little water and mix well. Make a thick batter.
2. Add green chilli, onion, chaat masala, salt, baking soda, coriander and red chilli powder. Mix well.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add a ladle of mixture and deep fry on high heat till golden brown. Remove and drain on an absorbent paper.
4. Serve with tomato ketchup.
