Easy and tasty chicken kurma in 20 min | One pot chicken korma recipe | Ramzan special recipes | Madras Curry Channel

This is an authentic chicken kurma recipe that is tasty and quite easy to make. One can make this one pot chicken kurma/korma in 20 minutes. Green chillies are seared before ground into paste with coconut and spices which adds a burst of flavour to the kurma. This is a wonderful recipe during Ramzan or any other day.

INGREDIENTS:
To grind into paste:
1. Green chillies - 4
2. Grated coconut/coconut pieces - 1/2 cup
3. Cashew nuts - 2 Tbsp
4. Fennel seeds - 1/2 Tsp
5. Fried gram - 1 Tbsp
6. Poppy seeds - 1 Tsp

For kurma:
1. Bay leaf - 1
2. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch layer/piece
3. Cloves - 2
4. Cardamom - 2
5. Star anise - 1
6. Mace - 1/4 of a piece
7. Onion, medium - 1
8. Tomato, medium - 1
9. Mint leaves - 1/2 handful
10. Ginger-garlic paste - 2 Tsp
11. Chicken - 500 gms
12. Kuzhambu/curry chilli powder - 1.5 Tsp (Substitute: Pure chilli powder - 3/4 tsp + Coriander powder 3/4 tsp)
13. Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
14. Salt - to taste
15. Oil - 3 to 4 Tbsp + 1 Tsp
16. Water - 2 to 3 cups + 2 Tsp
17. Coriander - 1/2 handful
