Dry Dum aloo Recipe - Potato Sabzi Recipe - Lunch and Dinner Recipe | MintsRecipes

This is dry dum aloo vegan Indian recipe. It's an authentic and favorite Indian Vegetarian cuisine. This recipe is in Hindi. You can also eat this Dum Aloo in breakfast or for Lunch or Dinner. Visit https://www.mintsrecipes.com

Ingredients:
250 gm boiled baby potatoes
¼ tsp Onion seed
1 tsp grated ginger
½ tsp chopped garlic
¼ tsp Asafoetida
¼ tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
Salt to taste
¼ tsp Mango powder
2 tbsp Oil

For Roasting:
2 tbsp coriander seed
1 tsp cumin seed
½ tsp Fennel seed
2 piece of dry red chilly
1 tsp black pepper

How to make:
1. Take a pan and roast with the items given under “for roasting” and sauté on medium flame. Keep on stirring to avoid burning. Seeds will become darker in color and give off a beautiful aroma.
2. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool. Once cooled, coarsely crush the spice mixture.
3. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion seed and asafetida and sauté for a minute.
4. Add ginger, garlic and again sauté it for a minute.
5. Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder mix it well.
6. Add boiled baby potatoes, salt, mango powder and shallow fry till it becomes light brown around the edges. Make sure you keep it turning in between to ensure even browning.
7. Once the potato gets cooked add coarsely grinded spice mixture, mix it well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
