Double Dhamaka Chicken Chaat | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Succulent chicken bites coated in aromatic spices. Perfect as a starter or side dish.  An interesting chicken recipe with a spicy Indian touch.

DOUBLE DHAMAKA CHICKEN CHAAT

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp red chilli sauce
Salt to taste
2 tsps yogurt
Oil to deep fry
4 tsps refined flour (maida)
1 spring onion with greens
1 green chilli
½ lemon

Method

1. Cut chicken into strips and put them into a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp red chilli powder, red chilli sauce, salt and yogurt and mix. Set aside to marinate for ½ hour in the refrigerator.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
3. Put refined flour, salt and ½ tsp red chilli powder in a plate and mix.
4. Chop spring onion with greens and green chilli finely and put into another bowl.
5. Take chicken out of the refrigerator. Roll each strip in the spiced flour.
6. Add a little water to the marinade in the bowl and mix well. Dip the chicken strips in this mixture and roll again in the spiced flour.
7. Slide into hot oil and deep-fry till crisp and golden. Drain on absorbent paper, cut into small pieces and put into the bowl with spring onion and green chilli.
8. Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon over them and mix.
9. Put them in soup spoons, arrange the spoons in a serving plate and serve.
