A different hummus recipe! How to make lemony tarator sauce.

This is a different hummus recipe. Tarator sauce is similar but different enough when you want something that's not baba ganoush, nor hummus. If you know how to make hummus, making tarator is very similar so you should add this to your list of healthy dips for veggies recipes. It's a Lebanese sauce made from Tahini (ground sesame), lemon juice and garlic. It's a wonderful compliment to Mediterranean vegetables, meat, fish and is great veggie dip recipe. If you have any recipes with baba ganoush or kalam sauce, you might want to switch it up from time to time with this. It's also great thinned out with some extra water and used as a salad dressing. Because it's made from all whole, non-processed foods, I did not need to make any recipe alterations. It's vegan, vegetarian and good for those eating keto. As a bonus it contains two anti-inflammatory foods that may help fight cancer, garlic and lemon. This is a great recipe for beginning cooks because it's super easy and super healthy!

Tarator Sauce
makes about 1 cup
4T tahini
3T fresh squeezed lemon juice (from 1 - 1.5 lemons)
pinch of salt
1 or 2 gloves crushed garlic (depending on how strong you like it!)
fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Make sure you really scrape the bottom of your tahini jar and mix it super well until there is not a single lump at the bottom. Use a garlic press to press the garlic clove(s) into the sauce. Mix all ingredients together. Depending on the final consistency you want, keep adding in water 1-2 tablespoons at a time and stir until blended. Store in the refrigerator and restir before each use (the tahini separates easily).
