Ginger:1 inch
Garlic:7 to 8 cloves

For Tadka:
Oil:3 tbsp
Bay leaves:2
Dry red chilli:2
Cloves:2
Cardamom:2
Cinnamon stick:1 inch
Cumin seeds(jeera):1/4th tsp
Asafoetida
Onion:1, medium
Tomato:2, medium
Turmeric powder:1/4th tsp
Red chilli powder:1/2 tsp
Coriander powder:2tbsp
Garam masala:1/4th tsp
Salt: as per taste
